I’m a writer/director with a background in spoken word storytelling. I’m from Dublin but currently living in Brooklyn.
I’ve written and directed a small mountain of shorts, sketches and freelance pieces, and am especially interested in using comedy as a way to tap into different emotions on screen.
After traveling around the world as a travelguide cameraman, I returned to Dublin and became a prolific storyteller on the spoken word scene. I combined my interests in 2014 when I co-created Storymap, a vast interactive documentary project that sought to capture Dublin through its people and their stories. The project was praised across the Irish press for its innovation and charm.
Since moving to New York in 2016, I’ve worked steadily as an editor and cameraman. I was Director of Photography on the daily MTV News show ‘Need to Know’.
I’m currently working on three projects: We’re Not Strangers! - a horror comedy about a self-help cult; Pops - a dystopian comedy about a girl and her dog; and Happy Accidents - a surreal meditation satire.
I have a BA in Film & English Lit from Trinity College, Dublin, and an MA in Screenwriting from the Irish National Film School.
